Patented worldwide, this encapsulated molecule is exclusive to Medik8. Retinol can be used during the day thanks to its exceptional light stability. The ultimate form of vitamin A, r-Retinoate has been shown to be 8 times more potent than retinol. It is photostable and can be used both day and night, even on sensitive skin. It increases cell proliferation (renewal) for a smoother, more refined skin surface. It boosts collagen synthesis and prevents its breakdown for firmer, younger-looking skin. It reduces melanin production to combat hyperpigmentation and achieve a more even skin tone. It also reduces sebum production to minimize the formation of dark spots.
