Beldon Beauty, aesthetics and wellness without miracles

Teresa de Miguel Miró

Its founder, Teresa de Miguel Miró, advocates for a long-lived lifestyle based on such diverse principles as avoiding toxic relationships, using food as medicine, and being independent, even carrying our own luggage off the high-speed train. From her beauty centers in the capital, she is changing the game.

If there's one thing that characterizes Teresa de Miguel Miró, founder of Beldon Beauty, it's her honesty and entrepreneurial spirit. From all the professional stages she's gone through in her life, not always related to wellness, she's gleaned valuable lessons that she later puts to use. Although she wanted to be a doctor, she began her career as an in-house lawyer for companies and the Community of Madrid, helping others to launch their own businesses, which ultimately led her to start her own company.

MyLittleMomó, a pioneering brand that transforms simple treatments like manicures into a care and wellness experience, was her first venture as a freelancer.

"I didn't invent anything new here, but I can be proud of having changed the rules of the game," she says.

He adds: "What was missing in this sector was that the person who comes not only receives the treatment, but also something more experiential, a special and pleasant moment in which they can forget all their problems."

Their line of body treatments not only acts on aesthetics, but also on the internal perception of well-being.

Now, from her vantage point on Alcalá Street in Madrid, she manages 35 people across three specialized centers, each designed to provide unique experiences: Beldon Beauty, Wellness, and Medical. Located in different parts of the capital, they advocate for a "cult of beauty from within" based on principles such as personalization, commitment and self-improvement.

For those seeking advanced aesthetic treatments with a holistic approach, Beldon Beauty at Lagasca, 9, is the perfect place. Here, personalized diagnosis and treatment plans guarantee excellent results.

For those seeking complete escape, at least for a few hours, Beldon Wellness, located within the BLESS Hotel Madrid on Velázquez Street, is ideal. Massages, spa circuits, and relaxation programs make it a haven, far removed from the noise and fast pace of urban life. And Beldon Medical, at Conde de Aranda Street, 14, is home to experts in aesthetic medicine and nutrition. They design customized plans to address skin problems, longevity, or overall well-being.

"When we opened in 2017, there was a lot on offer, but I missed the personalization. As a customer, I visited many establishments and no one asked me anything, no one gave me a diagnosis. People were looking for immediate results, the bikini body, a new device, a new diet… There was no talk of changing lifestyles. And Beldon emerged from that," confirms the founder.

QUESTION: Is the philosophy you've incorporated at Beldon that 'miracles don't exist'?

ANSWER: Of course they don't exist. There's no miracle product or machine. They do help, but for them to work, you have to be very consistent. As you get older, the difference lies in your lifestyle and habits. What you do after treatment, at home and with effort, is important. For five days a week, you have to be quite strict with your lifestyle, and then on the weekend, you can be a little more lenient, because you also have to enjoy yourself.

Q: What are you looking for with this new lifestyle?

A: I always tell my team that we're a storydoing company and that we have to help people put it into practice. Of course, you don't then go and meet the client at their home… Even before exercise, the first thing we have to do is value ourselves and speak kindly to ourselves. Something as simple as loving ourselves. If there's one beautiful thing about beauty, it's that we're all different; that's the beauty of it. It's also key to avoid toxic relationships. We have to distance ourselves from anything that doesn't empower us and surround ourselves with the people who bring out the best in us. Of course, I recommend making food our medicine. And what can I say about exercise? I'm not the best example of this, but I believe that physical activity contributes to our health.

People start to age when they stop jumping, for example. High-impact exercise is great, especially for us women. I would also add proper sleep hygiene.

Q: What is your opinion on the discussion of anti-aging treatments or products?

A: Aging is healthy, and how we do it is the only thing we can control. I don't usually talk about anti-aging . I prefer the term 'longevity lifestyle'. It's true that we can choose to age well or poorly. As I mentioned before, depending on our lifestyle choices, that's how we'll get to old age, but the important thing is to age well, being able to do things independently, for example, carry your suitcase on the high-speed train without help or tie your shoelaces. I think people are becoming increasingly aware of this, and I love that so many brands and companies are promoting this lifestyle.

Q: What advice do you have for taking care of our skin during these summer months?

A: Above all, it's about valuing ourselves, that is, being able to stand in front of the mirror and say, "I love myself because my longest relationship will be with myself." And then trying to work, without obsessing, on those areas or zones where we need to improve because after wearing a coat all winter... It's also good to focus on our diet, what we eat every day, and perhaps increase our exercise a little.

Q: Where will you be spending your vacation?

A: I will spend them, in part, in Cantabria, as every year, with my husband and my children, a girl and a boy, 11 and 8 years old, who are my best project, my favorite people and my safe place.
