Interview with
Teresa De Miguel
How to fall in love with our existence
After developing her career as an entrepreneur in the world of beauty, Teresa de Miguel presents Beldon Medical: an ambitious commitment to personalized health.
Biography
I studied Law because it's a degree that allowed me to help people. However, I'm very creative, and the world of entrepreneurship has always appealed to me. In addition, my mother taught me from a very young age how important it is to take care of yourself. That's why one day I decided to change everything and be brave. Usually, what we want is on the other side of fear. And so, I combined what I love most in life: helping others, decorating, and beauty.
From that passion your first concept, MyLittleMomó, a beauty treatment space in a different environment, was born in 2011. Why did you decide years later to create Beldon Beauty and what does it mean to you?
I felt a desire to launch another brand with the ingredients I believed had made MyLittleMomó successful: exquisite taste, personalized service, and expertise, but doing things differently. More focused on customized facial and body treatments.
Beldon Beauty believes that, for me, it means helping people feel better, both inside and out. There's no point in taking care of your appearance if you're not at peace with yourself or healthy on the inside.
Beldon Beauty also means personalization. I think that in the beauty world, we're sold a lot of instant results and all kinds of brands. When the reality is that not everything is suitable for everyone. I felt there was a lot of choice, but very little personalization. There was a lack of that care that should be given to the client before a treatment—listening to them, understanding what they want to achieve, and ensuring they choose the right protocol for their current needs and skin type.
So, from the beginning, we started with highly personalized facial and body treatments based on a philosophy of honesty. People need to know that "miracles don't exist" and that self-care is a daily commitment. Beauty salons, gyms, and wellness centers are helpful, but what makes the difference is what we do every day. That's why our work doesn't end in the treatment room; it goes far beyond through follow-up care.

“Beldon Beauty means helping people feel better, both inside and out.”
In a short time since its creation, Beldon Beauty has evolved digitally, has its own space at 9 Lagasca Street in Madrid and has just opened a spa in BLESS Hotel Madrid, why did you decide to introduce the brand in this hotel?
The truth is, they called us and I was thrilled. We share a common philosophy in aspects that are important to me. One of our values is a passion for excellence, and at BLESS Hotel Madrid they have a value they call a commitment to excellence, which is essentially the same thing.
We are both driven by the pursuit of perfection, by putting our heart and soul into everything we do. This translates into exceptional service, something we both excel at. So, everything fell into place.

The latest project you've just started is Beldon Medical, what does it consist of?
Beldon Medical completes the 360º care cycle with aesthetic medicine services, longevity programs, nutrition, training, and coaching, aiming to raise awareness about the importance of taking charge of one's health and well-being. With life expectancy now significantly increased, we all want to maintain good health as the years go by.
To achieve this, we must pay attention to our health before we feel unwell. At Beldon Medical, we will provide you with all the tools you need to age feeling well as life progresses. I prefer to call it "aging management," rather than anti-aging, since aging is a natural process that happens to us all. Although it may seem strange, we begin aging from the moment we are born.
How important will aesthetic medicine be within Beldon Medical?
Aesthetic medicine will be another tool, but it's useless if a person isn't well internally. Furthermore, I believe it can be effective when used naturally, not to transform people. That's precisely Beldon Medical's vision: to explain that aesthetic medicine shouldn't be transformative at all. It should enhance who we are. I think it's a great ally. When used properly, I find it to be an impressive tool.
What excites you most about the project?
I love helping people. I believe life is easier when we help each other. Every day I leave thinking, "What have I done today to be a better person and help others?" That motivates me, and I hope that people at Beldon Medical feel supported. "We are focused on the pursuit of perfection. Doing things with heart and soul."

What would you like people who come to Beldon Medical to say?
I would love for your life to improve as a result of your time here. It's easy to talk about diets and changing habits, but difficult to put into practice. I hope Beldon Medical will be the impetus for you to take that first step. Undoubtedly, the first step won't take you where you want to be, but it will get you out of where you are.
If we can help people become aware of the importance of a lifestyle that helps them feel good in their own skin over the years, to not want to be like everyone else but to love themselves and feel good, I would feel satisfied.
Furthermore, I would love for everyone at Beldon Medical to feel at home. That's why we've tried to create a welcoming atmosphere. I believe that the people who choose us deserve to feel at home. That seems incredibly important to me, and it's a hallmark of everything we do.

“I would love for people’s lives to improve as a result of their time here.”
What's the best advice you've ever received?
It's hard to say which is the best. Of the most recent ones I've received, the best is to keep trusting my instincts and intuition. One I got during a difficult time was, "Be brave." And the ones I value most are those from my husband. He always has the right words when I need them most.
Relationship with beauty:
What is beauty to you and how does it influence your daily life?
One of the best things about beauty is that it's so difficult to define, and for everyone it's something different. Undoubtedly, it's found in many areas; we just need to know how to appreciate it and share it with others. It's more a matter of attitude than physical attributes, since with that attitude we can even improve how others perceive us.
Who are your beauty icons?
Honestly, I don't have any specific icons, and my beauty references are the people who catch my eye because of their style and because they know how to stand out from the crowd. Less is always more.
- Beauty Questionnaire:
What is your morning routine?
I wash my face with my fasting soap (I haven't stopped using it since I was lucky enough to try it during lockdown), apply a vitamin C serum, eye cream, moisturizer in different textures depending on my skin's needs, and concealer. I also take my supplements and usually fast until about midday.
A foolproof trick or product
Brush my lips to give them a nicer tone and sleep with my hair in a bun so that it's a little wavy when I wake up.
How do you take care of your beauty from the inside out?
Helping others, practicing gratitude every day for the good things I have and that happen to me, taking care of what my body ingests, and being as kind as I can to the people I interact with.
A subject that needs addressing (in terms of beauty)
To become disciplined again with my eyebrows and incorporate new active ingredients into my nighttime routine.
